Arriving in Berlin from the states summer of 09 with a guitar in one hand and a box of CDs ("Poportunity") in the other, Allen hit the ground running! Within two weeks he was onstage performing with a bunch of complete strangers. Within a month he landed a regular gig with a local retro cover band He thought this would be a great way to mix and mingle in the Berlin music community. One tiny problem, he didn't speak a stitch of German. This could be a problem! OK...Off to German classes. ARG.......FAST FORWARD.......now Allen has formed his own trio as well as performs as a sideman for handful of Berlin (and beyond) artists such as Noel Maurice, Mark Mulholland, Orit Shimoni, Amy Belle , Steff Jungen and more to come. A recent development sees " Poportunity" being distributed in Europe by the Berlin based Cannery Row records. The track " SHE TOLD ME " is featured on the Cannery Row Artists compilation which was released April. 30th . Allen is also working with Engineer Stewart Hill and Noel Maurice at MonoBeat Studios putting the final touches on Noels latest offering as well as contributed Guitar, Bass and backing vocals to the new (U.S.) Seth Goodman disc. In addition, recent Allen sessions included a guitar solo for a track for the upcoming Mark Mulholland release on the British label Troubadour and Pre Production work with Canadian songstress Orit Shimoni .
